Started construction on the 20m x 10m Flordeliz Guest House in December 2010. This is the 8th page starting
in December of 2012. Click on the links above to see the earlier pictures.
Week of December 20, 2012
The 8-foot high concrete block fence around the beach property has been started. The side towards the
National Road to the East and the side to the North have had most of the blocks laid so far.
The first row photos show the East side to the right of the main gate. The main gate area is shown as the opening
in the last photo. Notice that the wall does NOT go to the top of the 8 foot pillars (shown with forms still in place).
The area above the concrete wall on this side will have wrought ironwork completing the 8 foot height.
The 2nd row of photos shows the East side to the left of the main gate. Notice the setback in this
side to the left of the main gate. This is the 2 meter path for the Flordeliz residents to go around
the North side of the property to the seashore.
This row shows the North wall along the easement to the seashore. The step-downs in the wall take into account the slope of the land so the
wall stays approximately 8 feet high. There will be no ironwork on the East side at all because there will
be traffic down the easement to the seashore on the other side of the wall.
The last row shows the seashore area. The first 3 photos are with Jovie and her Aunt Hazel. The next photo shows Jovie's nephew and others playing on the beach.
The last photo shows Jovie and her Aunt BemBem walking the beach.
